OH MAGNIFICENT JUICE.

I present to you,

green juice. In it's purest form.

MADE FROM A BLENDER.

that's right, even I can't believe it. It took over an hour to make but I didn't know what I was doing, AND I didn't have a nut milk bag. To top it all off, this was made with all the remaining greens and fruits in the house: 1 green apple, 1 red apple, on the brink of life and death--collard greens, and the butt of a cucumber. I added fresh ginger pieces, 20 oz of water with lemon juice, and 3 small dates. I used a metal strainer and stood over it mushing with a big spoon for about 30 minutes, but it was SO worth it. Next purchase: nut milk bag. I think I'm just surprised since the blender contents, pre-juiced tasted all gritty and garden-like. Post-straining the juice, however tasted slightly sweet and refreshing with a hint of cucumber and ginger.

i just want to kiss it...my little juice baby.

  1. Woot, there's nothing more refreshing than green juice, I agree! If you can afford it, it's worthwhile to invest in a good centrifugal juicer-- it just makes it so much easier, and clean up is pretty easy too. I use the Breville Juice Fountain which is about $130 (CAN)so I know it's a significant amount of money, but it's SO worth it to me. I can get my juice and clean it up in under 5 minutes!

  2. Charlene! Thanks so much for your comment.
and I think you are definitely right. A good juicer should be my next purchase. Technically an investment! If you're happy with your Breville, then I'll buy that one!!

    Have a great week,

    -Amy :)

  3. Wow, you are so dedicated! Just look at all the work you went to to make a juice for yourself! That's dedication for ya! I have a couple of simple juice posts on my own blog, but I have a beast of a juicer (Champion brand) to help me. I don't think I would have gone to all the trouble that you did, not having one. You're a real trooper, Amy! :)
