chinatown is ma new hometown.

i bought 3 young thai coconuts for $6, and a lb of GOJI BERRIES for $5.99 compared to $24.99 for half that much at the local health food store.

cool. except i need a sweet goji berry recipe, and a lesson on how to open these thai coconuts.
smashing them against the sharp part of your locker does NOT work.

LIVE! organic food bar tomorrow :)

soaked goji berries.

  1. Mmmm....coconuts....

And sweet deals! I need to make my way to the Asian markets.

  2. Hey Amy!! I was trying to write you a message, but as I am new to the whole blog thing I can't figure it out for the life of me!!! Anyways your blog is great, some yummy ideas!! Thanks for following mine too!

  3. un recipe pour toi:
    my go-to goji energy brekkie.

    Goji Berries Bircher Muesli

    (Tasty and full of anti-oxidants!)

    100 g goji berries
    2 cups rolled oats
    1 cup orange juice
    1 cup milk
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup slivered almond

    1. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate over night.
    2. Serve with seasonal fresh fruit.

  4. and this one is delicious and low calorie..

  5. to open young coconuts, you have to stand them up, then hack away a circle from the top. imagine your crowning the coconut with knife cuts. dont use your best knife!
once you`ve hacked away a circle >(should take 4-5 hits in a circle), pry off the cut away piece and dig in!
there are probably things online that would give you a better visual but maybe this helps
