sleeping less!

i don't know if this is a new trend, but last night as well as the night before i found myself awake for an extra two hours. I was tired but I felt like I could still force myself to work if I wanted to.
I slept a total of 5 hours and I'm fine now..

Is this because of my extra energy? or maybe it is just a phase.
b-pear sliced, cinnamon, flax, nut mylk.
s-carob sauce: carob powder, nut mylk, dates. with pecans for dipping :) and an orange.

homemade miso soup for dinner with definitely NON-raw tofu.
as the first non-raw meal, i say this is pretty good. I'm going to drink a ton of water to counteract this odd headache i have..would miso do that?

  1. I've heard of this! ;) I don't go to bed on time to begin with so I have yet to experience this but I can only imagine how much stuff I'd get done with an extra two hours. Good for you!

  2. your carob sauce looks delicious. i had the most fantastic vegan chili today for lunch--it had crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, black beans, chunky seitan, carmelized onions, green and red peppers, and big pieces of tofu. yum. and i tried a piece of vegan bratwurst? interesting flavor, i really couldn't tell the difference from regular sausage... hmmm
i love your blog ps, it's really cool. i'm going to check on you daily.

  3. Thanks for the comment Heidi!
I want to be really specific on what symptoms of detox I'm feeling, and even mood lifts, or energy levels. It's good for future reference. Raw breakfast crusts! I want to try those! I'm looking for raw granola. Maybe I'll find a recipe for it one of these days.

  4. T,

the carob sauce was delicious! I think I need to be weary of my sugar levels though since fruit is sugary enough. Your chili sounds amazing! and thanks for the comment. How long have you been vegan for?

    :)

  5. oh as for sugar levels, i have tried going with more natural things, and not just raw fruit. for instance, on my breakfast granola i always use hemp seeds, toasted cooked kasha (buckwheat groats), sunflower seeds, golden raisins, a few almonds, and natural clover honey (i get mine from a local beekeeper i know who actually produces honey from the bees he owns, and there are no animal preservatives or additives, which i love because i get my energy without consuming stuff i don't want). i have tried buckwheat honey too. it gives me great energy to start my day with a little soymilk!
i've been vegan for almost three years now. i'm still learning everyday.
